           Japan to Resume Sales of Suica and PASMO Transportation IC Cards in September!
          
                    
                    &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
                      
                      
           After a suspension due to a global semiconductor shortage, the issuance of new Suica and PASMO transportation IC cards will resume on September 1st. While only name-type cards (requiring input of name and date of birth) will be available initially, they should be usable everywhere.

    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
                      
                      
           Additionally, Suica cards for short-term visitors to Japan, previously limited to Haneda and Narita Airports, will also be available at Tokyo and Shibuya Stations starting in August.
